Ceramics and painting are hobbies I enjoy most. I have mostly self taught myself these skills, along with gaining information from art classes. I started off watching people work with clay and paint, but I really learned when I went hands on. My first times with clay and paint have been in my elementary art classes, where I learned the basics. From there, I got my own art supplies from the dollar store and started practicing my painting. Throughout middle school online, I'd make paintings just for myself and my family. They weren't that good at first, but with time, I got better. I took drawing and painting freshman year and ceramics sophmore year. There I learned some new techniques and facts. As ceramics class came to an end, I got my own supplies such as a wheel, clay, and tools. I decided to get my own supplies because I enjoy making art. I get to express myself in ways I normally can't, through art. That's why I'd recommend art as a hobby to anyone who has difficulty with expression, or just enjoys having a creative outlet.
